Caroline Del Giudice was born and reared in Arlington, Virginia. As a daughter to two journalists, she was always encouraged to explore her creativity, imagination, and curiosity. Del Giudice attended Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, where she graduated in 2015 with highest honors in anthropology and distinction in studio art. Following college she relocated to Detroit, Michigan to pursue a career as an artist and metal fabricator. In 2017, Del Giudice started her own small business for custom metal fabrication. She completed her MFA in Sculpture in 2020 at Cranbrook Academy of Art.

She has shown artwork in Detroit as well as across the country at galleries including David Klein Gallery, Playground Detroit, Red Bull House of Art in Detroit, Ann Arbor Art Center, Sculpture X in Toledo, the Honolulu Museum of Art, and more.

Del Giudice’s practice is a materialization of her fascination with power structures, cultural institutions, and concepts of equality. Through careful fabrication of sculptures and alteration of ready-made objects, she reflects her own internal strife onto the viewer. She landed upon the term “the problem with knowing” to explain her current mindset. Del Giudice investigates the construction and perpetuation of beliefs and ideologies, then creates mechanical and/or interactive sculptures that press this idea upon the viewer.
